Unlock Premium Features – Upgrading to SinceCode Booking Pro gives you access to unlimited services, SMS notifications, staff holidays, advanced shortcodes, and priority support. This guide will walk you through the simple upgrade process.

1 Click the Upgrade Button
To begin the upgrade process:
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
- Look for the Upgrade button in the left sidebar menu (it has a green arrow ➤ icon)
- Click the Upgrade button
- You’ll be redirected to the Freemius checkout page
2 Complete Your Purchase
On the Freemius checkout page:
- Choose Your Plan – Select the billing cycle that works best for you (monthly, annual, etc.)
- Review Pricing – Check the plan details and pricing
- Enter Payment Information – Provide your payment details
- Complete Checkout – Confirm your purchase

All payments are processed securely through Freemius. Your payment information is encrypted and protected.
3 Download the Premium Plugin
After completing your purchase, a notification will appear:
✅ Purchase Complete!
You’ll see a message prompting you to “Install the Premium Plugin”
- Click the button or link to download the premium plugin
- Save the ZIP file to your computer
- Keep this file safe – you’ll need it in the next step
💡 Can’t Find the Download?
If you close the notification, you can also download the premium plugin from your Freemius account dashboard or the confirmation email sent to you.
4 Deactivate the Free Plugin
Before installing the premium version, you need to deactivate the free plugin:
- Go to Plugins in your WordPress dashboard
- Find SinceCode Booking in your plugin list
- Click Deactivate under the plugin name
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Subscription Cancellation Prompt
When you deactivate the free plugin, you’ll see a popup asking if you want to cancel your subscription.
Click “NO” – Do NOT cancel your subscription!
ℹ️ Why This Happens
Freemius asks this question to prevent accidental subscription loss. Your premium license will be automatically activated when you install the premium plugin in the next step, so keep your subscription active!
🛡️ Don’t Worry About Your Data
Deactivating the free plugin does NOT delete your bookings, staff, services, or settings. All your data remains safe in your WordPress database and will be available when you activate the premium plugin.
5 Install the Premium Plugin
Now you’re ready to install the premium version:
- Go to Plugins → Add New
- Click “Upload Plugin” at the top of the page
- Click “Choose File” and select the premium ZIP file you downloaded earlier
- Click “Install Now” and wait for the upload to complete
- Click “Activate Plugin” once installation finishes
✨ Automatic Activation
When you activate the premium plugin, your subscription will be automatically activated. You don’t need to enter any license keys – it’s all handled automatically!
6 Verify Pro Features Are Active
To confirm your upgrade was successful:
- Check the sidebar – The “Upgrade” button should now show “PRO” or be replaced with account management
- Try Pro features:
- Add more than 5 services (Manage Services)
- Set staff holidays (Manage Staff)
- Configure SMS notifications (Settings → Notifications)
- Use Pro shortcodes ([scb_staff_showcase], [scb_calendar], [scb_services])
- Check your dashboard – You should see “Pro Plan” or similar indication

Troubleshooting
❌ Pro features not working after installation
Try these solutions:
- Deactivate and reactivate the premium plugin
- Clear your browser cache and WordPress cache
- Check that you clicked “NO” when asked about canceling subscription
- Verify your subscription is active in your Freemius account
- Contact support with your account details if issues persist
❌ Accidentally canceled subscription during deactivation
Don’t panic! You can fix this:
- Log into your Freemius account
- Find your SinceCode Booking subscription
- Click to reactivate or renew your subscription
- Or contact support – we can help restore your subscription
❌ Can’t find the premium plugin download
You can get it from:
- Your Freemius account dashboard
- The confirmation email sent after purchase
- Contact support and we’ll send you the download link
Managing Your Subscription
After upgrading, you can manage your subscription through your Freemius account:
- View billing history – See all past invoices
- Update payment method – Change credit card or payment details
- Download premium plugin – Re-download if needed
- Manage renewals – Configure auto-renewal settings
- Cancel subscription – If you decide to downgrade (we hope you don’t!)
